About

Identity and Role Transitions - The emotional toll of chronic stress, emotional overwhelm and isolation.

I’m an English psychotherapist based in Berlin, currently in advanced training for a (D-Psych) doctorate in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

My previous career, in London, saw me work as an author, chef and food consultant with a holistic nutrition approach.

In my twenties after completing my BsC in History of Art and Philosophy. I trained at Le Cordon Bleu in cuisine (cooking) and published a cookbook in 2014. This career saw me work with a vast number of food and beverage brands, media and group work. It is a career that gave me a deep understanding of the role food plays in fostering social connection and shaping mental wellbeing.

Welcome.

Choosing to begin therapy is a meaningful step—and one that often arises in places of extreme discomfort: something isn’t working, or something long buried is needing to be explored.

My work explores the uncovering of meaning and connecting to a deeper level of knowing, whether it is in the course of becoming a parent, or navigating the challenges that come with it

I practice from a contemporary psychoanalytic/psychodynamic perspective. This means we’ll work together to explore the unconscious patterns that shape your relationships, behaviours, and inner life—often outside of your immediate awareness. These patterns may stem from early experiences, unspoken emotional needs, or internalised relational dynamics that continue to influence how you show up in the present.

This work is not about symptom management alone. While relief from overwhelm, anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties is important—and often a natural outcome—it’s not the sole focus.

My approach invites sustained reflection and emotional honesty. We seek not only to understand what is happening, but why—and what meaning it carries within the broader narrative of your life.

In our sessions, the therapeutic relationship becomes a lens through which we can observe and gently challenge familiar dynamics. Our work will move at a pace that respects the process, in both the opening and resistance that comes with growth. This is long-form work, and it’s not always easy—but it can be profoundly life-changing.

If you are seeking a deeper understanding—of yourself, your relationships, your past and future—I welcome the opportunity to work with you.

My Areas of Speciality

  • Relationship Dysfunction
